Mr. Panpanayere Kwame Eric Lulu
Director General

Mr. Panpanayere Kwame Eric Lulu is a multifaceted Ghanaian professional with significant contributions to education, agriculture, and social development. He is the owner of private schools in Ghana and currently serves as the Director General of the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG), where he advocates for the interests of private school stakeholders. His leadership focuses on enhancing policies to ensure the growth and sustainability of private education in the country. Beyond education, Mr. Lulu is an agricultural consultant and farmer, offering expertise on modern farming practices and agribusiness to foster self-reliance among local farmers. Additionally, he is a Christian pastor committed to moral education and spiritual development, emphasizing values such as hard work and discipline. As a social commentator on Dero FM, he addresses critical issues regarding education, agriculture, and societal growth, contributing to public discourse in Ghana. His extensive experience and dedication make him a respected figure in his fields.

JOHN ABEKAH ESSIEN

Deputy Director General

John Abekah Essien, born on August 10, 1979, in Ghana’s Western Region, is a multifaceted professional dedicated to education and infrastructure. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Building Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, which positions him uniquely at the crossroads of construction and academic leadership. As an accomplished building contractor, Mr. Essien significantly contributes to local development projects. He is the Proprietor of Essien Academy in the Western Nzema Jomoro District, where he fosters quality education and mentorship for youth. Furthermore, as the Deputy Director General of the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG), he champions educational advocacy, influencing policies and initiatives aimed at enhancing private education and safeguarding children’s welfare in the education sector. His work reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence, leadership, and community enhancement, particularly in advancing educational standards and infrastructure within Ghana.

SUAKA YAMBUAT DESMOND

General Secretary

Mr. Suaka Desmond is an experienced educationist and school administrator in Ghana, with over 20 years in private basic educational management. He founded D.S. Elites Academy in 2005 and is currently pursuing advanced studies in Educational Psychology, focusing on teaching and cognitive development. As General Secretary of the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG), he advocates for policy improvements and collaboration among private institutions to enhance education quality. His role includes administrative coordination, curriculum implementation, and mentoring teachers to improve instruction. He organizes academic programs and promotes community engagement through Parent-Teacher Associations and School Management Committees. Mr. Desmond holds a Diploma and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Education, Winneba, and has completed multiple workshops in leadership and management, including a language certificate from the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation. Born on April 10, 1977, he is married and actively contributes to Ghana’s educational environment.

DAYAK ANAS

Deputy General Secretary

Mr. Dayak Anas is the Deputy General Secretary and a founding member of the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG), committed to improving education quality in Ghana’s private schools through collaboration and policy advocacy. He is the Proprietor of Dayak Memorial International School in Nkoranza and has held significant roles, including Secretary of the Nkoranza Private Schools Association. His educational achievements include a Certificate ‘A’ in Post-Secondary Professional Teaching from Bechem St. Joseph’s Training College, a Diploma in Basic Education specialized in technical drawing, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Valley View University. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Theology from the Missouri Institute of Biblical Studies and is pursuing a Degree in Biblical Studies at Bear Valley Bible Institute. Since 2018, he has served as a minister at the Akuma Church of Christ and currently teaches at Nkwabeng Saviour Basic School. Mr. Dayak is known for his adaptability and expertise in various educational roles, and he is married to Agnes Adongo, with whom he has four children.

REV. NELSON AHO

Director of Partnership and Operations

Rev. Nelson Aho serves as the Director of Partnership and Operations at the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG) and is the Chief Executive Director and Board Secretary at Aid a Child Ghana. Born on November 5, 1975, he holds a Diploma in Theology from the Evangelical College of Theology in Ghana. Rev. Aho’s expertise includes Empowered Worldview (EWV), Mental Health Psychosocial Support, Advocacy against Gender-Based Violence, and various child protection and health initiatives related to HIV/AIDS and COVID-19. He founded Galilean Prayer Ministry and the proprietor of First Choice International School Ghana in Atebubu, which provides free education for vulnerable children. Additionally, he acts as vice secretary of the Atebubu Local Council of Churches and is the country coordinator for Global Trust Partners, a U.S.-based Christian organization. His involvement with organizations like Rural Development and Youth Association, World Vision Ghana, and Go Movement features prominently in numerous interventions across the country. Rev. Aho is married to Ramatu Bashiru and is a father of five.

CEPHAS ASAKIA

Deputy Director of Partnership and Operations

Cephas Asakia is a seasoned professional specializing in partnerships, operations, and institutional relations. Currently 41 years old, he holds the position of Deputy Director of Partnership and Operations, where he spearheads strategic initiatives and fosters collaborative networks to improve organizational effectiveness. Cephas also serves as an Institutional Relations Advisor at the Akupoka Foundation, where he enhances partnerships and engages with key stakeholders. As an entrepreneurial leader, he manages his own business ventures, prioritizing sustainability and impact. A graduate of Koforidua Technical University, Cephas has a robust academic background that bolsters his professional successes. Additionally, he is the Northern Sector Director for Vita Legacy, contributing to the Leading Legend Legacy (L3 Award), which recognizes and mentors exemplary leaders. Passionate about leadership development and community impact, Cephas Asakia continues to significantly influence both his professional field and social initiatives.

ESTHER DAPAAH FORSON 

Director of Finance

Miss Esther Dapaah Forson is a founding member and the Director of Finance of the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG), where she plays a pivotal role in promoting collaboration, policy advocacy, and quality education among private educational institutions. She oversees budget preparation, implementation, and all financial transactions for COPSIG while engaging in policy discussions aimed at enhancing private education in the country. Additionally, Miss Forson is the Headmistress of Grace Sarpong Prestige School in Nkoranza, where she coordinates curriculum implementation, monitors teaching and learning activities, and supervises and mentors teachers to boost instructional effectiveness.
She holds a Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Education-Winneba and a Diploma in Montessori from The Learning Ark Montessori in Accra. As a Montessori Consultant and Trainer, she is also the CEO of FEONAD Educational Consult, advocating for a strong foundation in Montessori practices for young learners. Miss Forson is single and actively participates in her community as a member of the AMSDA SDA – Techiman church.

CLETUS MAAR

Deputy Director of Finance

Mr. Cletus Maar is a founding member and Deputy Director of Finance at the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG), where he actively promotes collaboration, policy advocacy, and quality education among private educational institutions. With a solid background in finance and education management, Mr. Maar significantly contributes to policy discussions aimed at enhancing private education in Ghana and fosters cooperation among private school proprietors to elevate educational standards. His academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Finance from Valley View University, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies from the College for Community and Organizational Development, and a First Degree in Banking and Finance from Presbyterian University. Additionally, he is part-qualified as a Chartered Accountant and has various training certifications in customer service, anti-money laundering, and organizational management. His professional experience includes roles as a Branch Manager at Fiagya Rural Bank and proprietorships at Maar Educational Complex and Hope Educational Complex. Mr. Maar exemplifies strong leadership and strategic thinking, upholding a commitment to excellence across financial services and the education sector. He is married with children.

REV. EMMANUEL ANSAH-DAMOAH

Director of Membership

Rev. Emmanuel Ansah-Damoah is a founding member and Director of Membership at the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG), focusing on collaboration, policy advocacy, and enhancing quality education within the private sector. He actively engages in policy discussions to improve private education and encourages cooperation among school proprietors. In addition to his role at COPSIG, Rev. Emmanuel is a Minister of the Gospel at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Dromankese and operates Solid Rock Baptist Academy. His educational background includes an Electrical Installation diploma from Sunyani Technical Institute, and several theological degrees from Solid Rock Baptist Bible College & Seminary, including a Bachelor of Theology and a Master of Ministry. He is also an experienced farmer, cultivating crops like cashew, maize, and groundnuts, and practices sustainable farming methods. Rev. Emmanuel is recognized for his skills in pastoral leadership, Christian teaching, school administration, and agricultural management. His strong commitment to community development and youth education underscores his dedication to service. He is married and has three children.

NANTIERE NUONG CHRISTOPHER

Director of Public Relations and Communication

Mr. Nantiere Nuong Christopher is the founding member and Director of Public Relations and Communication at the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG), focusing on enhancing collaboration, policy advocacy, and quality education among private schools. He represents the coalition in communications and contributes to discussions aimed at advancing private education in the country. Additionally, he is the Director of Sports at FC Tanga Sports Foundation in the Bono East Region and a former player for several soccer teams, including Avenue Soccer Academy, Akyea FC, and Bompa Red Lions. Mr. Christopher holds a post-Diploma in Engineering from Maritime University in Accra and a Certificate in Communication from Easy Media Institute in Nkoranza. He is also the founder of Holy Mountain International School A and B in the Nkoranza South Municipal, which serves vulnerable children and emphasizes education, spirituality, entrepreneurship, and sports development. He was born on March 3, 1998.

HON. ALI MOHAMMED SHAMSUDEEN

Director of Education, Training, and Quality Assurance

Hon. Ali Mohammed Shamsudeen is a prominent Ghanaian educationist, Islamic cleric, and politician. Currently serving as the Director of Education, Training, and Quality Assurance at the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG), he is dedicated to promoting a positive learning environment and enhancing student achievement through his extensive pedagogical knowledge and experience. Shamsudeen is also the proprietor of Oxford Educational Complex, a private school located in the Atebubu Amanten Municipality of the Bono East Region.
In addition to his educational contributions, he is an influential grassroots politician known for his application of Conflict Resolution Models and his legal knowledge to mediate and resolve conflicts at the party branch level. His commitment to fostering participatory democracy and responsible governance is evident in his efforts to enhance the capabilities of his constituents and strengthen the political structure.
As a devout Muslim, Shamsudeen prioritizes his prayers and worship, offering guidance to those around him based on his understanding of Islam.

STEPHEN OTENG BOAHENE

Deputy Director of Education, Training, and Quality Assurance

He is a distinguished Educationist, Christian leader, and a community servant based at AWUTU- BAWJIASE , in the central region of Ghana.The proprietor of RAINING ABUNDANT GRACE ACADEMY where I’m committed to promoting quality education and moral discipline among students.
As a devoted minister of the Gospel he serves as a Laypastor in the Assemblies of God , Ghana and currently the Head Laypastor of GLORYLIGHT ASSEMBLY, Awutu- Bawjiase ( Mankessim).
Through his ministry, he contributed significantly to spiritual growth, Leadership development and community transformation.
In the educational sector, he is professional teacher, teaching integrated science, general Agricultural science for the past 20years. He is experienced education Analyst, serves as Examiner for the WASSCE. At Bawjiase Senior high school he serves as school chaplain and also as the chairman of the chaplaincy board, playing a key role in the moral and the spiritual guidance of the students and staff
Academically, he holds a 3′ YEAR’ Certificate ‘A’ from Presbyterian Training College now Presbyterian college of Education ( Akropong – Akuapem),

Director of Research and Policy Advocacy

I am the Director of Research and Policy Advocacy, for COPSIG.
I am an accredited service provider with the National Teaching Council, authorized to deliver Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training for both public and private school teachers.
In addition, I serve as an Educational Consultant and a BECE Examiner, working alongside a team of highly competent and experienced examiners.
It is my honour and privilege to serve in COPSIG. We are readily available to provide a wide range of support services, including professional training for teachers, headteachers, and school administrators.

MADAM RICHLOVE AVOR

Director of Gender, Inclusion and Social Development

Richlove Avor is the Director of Gender, Inclusion and Social Development at Coalition of private schools in Ghana, COPSIG and a Ghanaian humanitarian, educator, and community development advocate. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Richlove Avor Foundation, where she leads initiatives focused on skills development and empowerment for marginalized communities.
She serves as the 1st Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Ghana Girl Guides Association, contributing to the leadership and mentorship of young girls nationwide. She is also the Women’s Commissioner for DESA at the University of Education, Winneba (Atrico Campus), where she is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies.
A trained teacher by profession, she is also a deaconess and children’s service teacher at Manna Mission Church, Akpoman, reflecting her strong commitment to service, mentorship, and community development.

ANGELA NAA YARLEY TAWIAH

Director of Welfare and Member Support Services

Angela Naa Yarley Tawia is the Director of Welfare and Member Support Services at the Coalition of Private Schools in Ghana (COPSIG) and a transformative leader with expertise in counseling psychology, education leadership, entrepreneurship, and mental health advocacy. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she served as a First Responder in government isolation centers, providing online counseling to those in emotional distress. As a qualified Counseling Psychologist, her focus areas include emotional wellness, family guidance, youth development, and therapeutic interventions. She holds a Certificate in Mental Health Work from City & Guilds, UK, and has organized numerous mental health education programs to support young people’s transition into secondary education.
In education, Tawia leads Anbell School and acts as a Master Trainer for Ghana’s Standards-Based Curriculum, conducting workshops for educators. Additionally, as the CEO of Ziva Angel Ventures, a producer of household chemicals and beverages, she has initiated vocational training programs that promote entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
Her social impact includes founding Women of Restoration, which empowers women, and Above the Eagles International, focused on mentoring youths and vulnerable groups. Tawia is also a Minister of the Gospel, combining spiritual leadership with community outreach, and has released a music album along with multiple preschool textbooks and children’s storybooks. Her prominent qualities of resilience, compassion, innovation, and strategic leadership contribute to her reputation as a distinguished figure recognized for her humanitarian efforts and transformative impact.
